Ternopil and Prudentopolis Become Sister-Cities

Mayor of Ternopil Serhii Nadal signed a cooperation agreement with city officials from the Brazilian city of Prudentopolis.
Brazilian businesses from Prudentopolis will be welcomed into the Ternopil market, the Ternopil City Council website said.
“Today, Brazil is a rapidly developing country. Therefore, the act of sister-city agreement of Ternopil and Prudentopolis is very important for us, because it will contribute to the development of Ukrainian-Brazilian economy relations, strengthen friendship between communities, and attract Brazilian investments in Ternopil and Ukraine,” Nadal said.
Prudentopolis is the capital of the Ukrainian diaspora in Brazil. In total, 75 percent of the city’s population are ethnic Ukrainians.
There, members of the Ukrainian diaspora defend Ukraine’s national interests and also speak out against Russian aggression and the occupation of Crimea, Nadal said.
