The U.S. is considering providing Ukraine with $250 million for defense next year.
According to a draft budget, the funds are planned “to support the Armed Forces and the national security forces of Ukraine and to replace any weapons and defense items that have already been provided to Ukraine by the United States.”
“Compared to the budget request for 2019, the proposed amount of security assistance to Ukraine has been increased by 50 million dollars,” The press office of the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States wrote.
The budget request must first be approved by the U.S. Congress. After that, a definite amount will be known.
