Ukraine’s Presidential Office is creating a Council on Freedom of Speech, which is intended to help record and eliminate threats to freedom of speech and to protect journalists’ rights.
“Dialogue with the media community is important to us, so we are launching the work of the council. It will meet regularly,” Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko stated.
The new council will include representatives from the editorial boards of Ukraine’s main media outlets, law enforcement agencies, and media consultants.
