Ukraine Filling Gas Storage Facilities in Preparation for Winter
Ukraine's underground gas storage facilities are 61 percent filled
With the new heating season soon coming, Ukraine has filled its underground gas storage facilities up to 61 percent of their capacity, now holding some 19.040 billion cubic meters of gas.
According to the latest data from Ukrtransgaz (as of Sep. 10), 76.59 million cubic meters were pumped into Ukraine’s underground storage facilities per day UNN reported.
The data indicates that Ukraine received 42.6 million cubic meters of gas from Slovakia per day, 19.44 million cubic meters per day from Hungary, and 6.62 million cubic meters from Poland.
Ukrtransgaz stated that it recently completed the repair and modernization of 85 percent of the Ukrainian gas transmission system.
