Ukraine Harvests Almost 59 Million Tons of Grains

Farmers have also planted seven million hectares of winter grain crops and one million hectares of winter rapeseed

As of Nov. 1, Ukrainian farmers have harvested 58.9 million tons of grains from an area of ​​13.5 million hectares with a yield of 43.6 centners per hectare, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported.

The crops harvested are as follows:

  • early cereals and legumes: 34.3 million tons from ​​9.9 million hectares with a yield of 34.8 centners per hectare;
  • corn: 23.1 million tons from ​​3.3 million hectares with a yield of 70.5 centners per hectare;
  • buckwheat: 134 thousand tons from ​​106 thousand hectares with a yield of 12.6 centners per hectare;
  • millet: 77 thousand tons from ​​50 thousand hectares with a yield of 15.5 centners per hectare;
  • sunflower: 13.2 million tons from ​​5.9 million hectares with a yield of 22.4 centners per hectare;
  • soybeans: 4.1 million tons from ​​1.6 million hectares with a yield of 25.4 centners per hectare;
  • rapeseed: 2.7 million tons from ​​one million hectares with a yield of 26.1 centners per hectare;
  • sugar beet: 10.7 million tons from ​​221 thousand hectares with a yield of 485 centners per hectare.

In addition, farmers have planted seven million hectares of winter grain crops and one million hectares of winter rapeseed.
