Ukraine Increased Electricity Production
The increase was estimated at 2 percent
Over the course of 11 months of 2018, Ukraine increased its electricity production by 2 percent.
From January to November, electricity production by power plants belonging to the UES of Ukraine amounted to 143,479.8 million kW / h. That’s a 2,877 million kW / h increase, the press center of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine.
TPP and CHP generated electricity by 685.5 million kW / h (3.4 percent) more than 2017 – 51 972.8 million kW / h.
Hydroelectric power stations’ and PSPPs’ electricity production amounted to 11,350.2 million kW / h and increased by 2,877 million kWh , or 21.7% of last year’s figure.
As for alternative sources, such as WPP, SES, biomass, compared with 2017, production increased by 702.4 million kW / h or 40.3 percent and amounted to 2,444.9 million kW / h.
