Ukraine has started mass producing the Vilkha missile system, Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said, the Governmental Courier reports.
This was possible because the Ministry of Defense received an additional funding of 4 billion hryvnias for the purchase of new weapons and military equipment.
The minister also said that work on the modernization of the Ukrainian military uniform is underway. Specialists have already developed new models of the military accessories, footwear and equipment, including for snipers: raiding backpacks and weapon covers. These samples will be available this year, and also samples of new body armor and ballistic helmets.
Vilkha is a missile system with guided ammunition. The complex was developed based on BM-30 Smerch system.
