Ukraine Plans Prisoners Exchange in Donbas

The last time Ukraine and Russia-backed militants exchanged prisoners was Dec 27, 2017

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and his team prepared a prisoners’ exchange in Donbas.

“Of course, you know that this is a priority for the president,” the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Danylyuk said, Novosti Donbassa reported.”The fewer will be the politics and the microphones, the better.”

Danylyuk did not specify when exactly the exchange will happen.

The last time Ukraine and Russian-backed militants exchanged prisoners was Dec 27, 2017. Ukraine handed over 246 prisoners in exchange for 74 people who had been taken captive by so-called DPR authorities.
