Ukraine’s Ambassador to Canada Addressed to IMAX Because of Cinema in Occupied Crimes

The Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Andriy Shevchenko said that due to the investigation of the Crimea.Reality on the activities of the Saturn IMAX Yalta cinema, the Ukrainian Embassy contacted the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the IMAX Corporation in Toronto.
“Canada strictly adheres to the regime of Crimean sanctions, and we have high-quality, impeccable interaction with our partners in these matters. Therefore, this information is unexpected and alarming. The embassy has already contacted the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs, as well as the IMAX Corporation in Toronto. We are waiting for a clarification of the situation in the coming days. If the violation of the sanctions regime is confirmed, we hope that this willSaturn- be corrected quickly and clearly,” Ukraine’s Embassy said, Krym.Realii reported.
Shevchenko said that Canada has consistently taken the position of non-recognition of Russian jurisdiction in Crimea.
Earlier, Acting Director of the Department of America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Shevchenko said that the agency instructed the Ukrainian Embassy in Canada to work out the issue regarding the activities of the Canadian film industry brand IMAX in Crimea.
The Canadian Embassy in Ukraine said that IMAX’s possible activities in Yalta (Saturn-IMAX cinema) will be monitored by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Canadian Customs.
