Ukraine’s Ministry of Regional Development approved the implementation of 277 projects for the construction, reconstruction, and overhaul of schools and kindergartens.

The financing of these regional projects provided by the State Fund for Regional Development (SRDF) is over $97 million, a government press-release stated.

“Nearly 280 projects on the construction, reconstruction and overhaul of schools and kindergartens have already been approved for implementation this year at the expense of the SRDF, ” Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Lev Partskhaladze said.

He said that currently more than 500 schools and kindergartens in Ukraine are actively implementing the principles of the New Educational Space project.

The basic principles of the New Educational Space are energy efficiency, modern equipment, motivating space, inclusivity.

“We started with one school in the village of Putrovka, Kyiv region, and last year the schools implementing the New Education Space project in Ukraine were about 309. Today, more than a half of schools and kindergartens are implementing these principles! This means that more than 200,000 children are growing at completely different conditions thanks to the project,” Partskhaladze said.
