6,377 cases of coronavirus were fixed and 1,904 people were hospitalized in a day in Ukraine

On March 9, 6,377 new cases of COVID-19 were fixed in Ukraine. In particular, 309 children and 263 medical workers.

This was reported by UATV with reference to the data of the Ministry of Health.

Over the past 24hrs, 1,904 people were hospitalized and 712 were discharged from hospitals. 219 people died. 5,687 people recovered. 64,126 tests per day were performed, including PCR – 33,904, IFA – 15,116, as well as 15,106 tests with express tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2.

Most of cases were registered in Kyiv (644), Odesa (586), Vinnytsia (575), Chernivtsi (533) and Lviv (523) regions.

During the pandemic, 1,416,438 people fell ill and 1,204,916 recovered. 27,423 died. 7,188,346 PCR tests were performed.

4,362 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on March 9, and 23,480 since the beginning of the campaign.

The Ministry of Health has updated the division into quarantine zones. The “red” level of epidemic danger has been introduced in 4 regions: Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Zakarpattia and Zhytomyr.
