Almost 13,000 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Ukraine, most of them in the Zhytomyr region

On March 11, 12,946 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Ukraine. In particular, 649 children and 450 medical workers fell ill.

This was reported by UATV with reference to the Ministry of Health.

3,843 people were hospitalized and 3,675 were discharged from hospitals over the past day. 230 died. 4,630 people recovered. 100,718 tests per day were performed, including PCR – 46,396, IFA – 18,342, as well as 35,980 express tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2.

The largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Zhytomyr (1,310), Vinnytsia (940), Kyiv (896), Odesa (757), Lviv (704) and Kyiv (697) regions.

During the pandemic, 1,438,468 people fell ill and 1,214,876 recovered. 27,915 died. 7,282,107 PCR tests were performed.

8,859 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on March 11, and 38,237 since the beginning of the campaign.

Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Health registered the CoronaVac vaccine manufactured by Sinovac Biotech Ltd.
