Illegally convicted citizen of Ukraine Hennady Limeshko, who stays in prison “PKU IK-6 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Stavropol Territory”, is subjected to systematic harassment by employees of the penitentiary institution where he is detained.
UATV reports this referring to the Facebook page of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova.
According to her, the operatives of the colony put psychological pressure on the Ukrainian due to the fact that he converted to Islam.
“They are threatening to send Hennady to fight in Syria after serving his sentence because he allegedly supports terrorism and ISIS”, – the ombudsman informed.
In addition, the colony’s employees confiscated Limeshko’s allowed items and clothes.
“Biased attitude and bullying in the colony leads to a deterioration of Hennady’s psycho-emotional condition”, – Denisova notes.
The Ombudsman appealed to the Ombudsman for Human Rights of the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova to take appropriate measures to restore the rights of the Ukrainian.
