The solidarity action with the occupied Crimea took place in Kyiv (PHOTOS)
In Taras Shevchenko park action of solidarity with the occupied Crimea took place in Kyiv on March 9.
This was reported by UATV with reference to the “DOM” TV Channel.
Representatives of human rights, activists, journalists and ex-prisoners took part in the action.
Action participants came with slogans calling for the release of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar political prisoners. In addition, protesters held Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian flags, as well as portraits of political prisoners.
During the speech, ex-political prisoner Volodymyr Balukh called on all Ukrainians to stand up with the Crimean people in the struggle for the return of the peninsula.
Also, the participants of the solidarity action organized a bookcrossing, during which they collected dozens of books and postcards. They will be sent to the administrative areas with the occupied peninsula, and everyone who wishes will be able to take them to the Crimean checkpoints.
