Ukraine banned entry Indian citizens from May 2, 2021
Ukraine closes border to India. When returning from this country, all citizens, including Ukrainians, must self-isolate, regardless of the results of the PCR test. This was announced during a briefing on April 30, by the chief sanitary doctor Viktor Liashko, UATV reports.
According to Liashko, the corresponding decision will come into force on May 2.
“The government of Ukraine made a decision to prohibit crossing the state border from 00:00 on May 2 to foreigners and stateless who arrived from the Republic of India or were on its territory for at least 7 days during the last 14 days”, said Viktor Liashko.
According to him, Ukrainians, as well as those foreigners who live in Ukraine or are in marital relations with Ukrainian citizens, will have to self-isolate for 2 weeks arriving from India, regardless of the availability and results of a PCR test for COVID-19.
This decision of the Ukrainian government was made due to the outbreak of coronavirus in India. In recent days, almost every day new records are fixed in this country. Such a surge in incidence is associated with a mutation of the coronavirus.
Over the previous day, on April 29, 10 072 new patients with COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine.
It was reported that the third wave of the pandemic in the world was caused by the circulation of new strains of coronavirus with additional mutations.
