Ukraine plans to join EU sanctions against Belarus. The corresponding decree was adopted during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. It should be approved by the National Security and Defense Council, UA reports.

If the decision comes into force, Alexander Lukashenko and 87 persons from the Belarusian sanctions list will be banned from entering Ukraine for 3 years.

The EU has introduced its restrictions against the Belarusian regime on October 2, 2020 and November 6, 2020 in response to numerous human rights violations and political repressions against citizens, democratic opposition and journalists.
