Ukraine will receive 8 million doses of COVID vaccines, including Pfizer and Moderna, by the end of July
Till the end of July, Ukraine will receive another 8 million doses of coronavirus vaccines. These will be 3 different vaccines – by CoronaVac, Pfizer and Moderna. This was announced by Director General of the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Roman Rodyna in the air of DOM TV, UA reports.
According to him, 1 million doses of Pfizer vaccine and 2 million doses of the American drug by Moderna, which had not been previously administered in Ukraine, will be delivered.
“Together with the CoronaVac vaccine, in general, there will be 8 million doses. We expect 5 million doses of CoronaVac by the end of July” – Rodyna said.
In total, Ukraine has signed contracts for the supply of 34 million doses of vaccines, of which 20 million – are Pfizer’s drug. They should be delivered by the end of this year.
By the end of summer, they plan to vaccinate 10 million Ukrainians, and administer 47 million doses by the end of the year.
“We are constantly increasing the number of vaccination points. At present, we have 1200-1300 vaccination points. There are about 600 mobile teams, and a new platform is vaccination centers. There are already more than 200 of them. The number of vaccination centers is constantly increasing” – Rodyna added.
Earlier, Denmark informed it will transfer 500 000 doses of COVID vaccine to Ukraine.
