US destroyer will enter the Black Sea
On June 11, the USS Laboon missile destroyer started its movement towards the Black Sea. The ship was sent to conduct security operations in the Black Sea region. The US Navy’s Sixth Fleet announced this on Twitter, UATV reports.
“USS Laboon (DDG58) began its northbound transit into the Black Sea to conduct maritime security operations in the region. The US Navy routinely operates with our NATO Allies & partners in the Black Sea!”, – the publication said.

It is also noted that USS Laboon was incorporated into the US Navy in 1995. It was involved in various operations, in particular, it struck with Tomahawk cruise missiles in Iraq (in 1996) and on Syrian military targets from the Red Sea (in 2018).
