On Wednesday, March 20, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received another batch of weapons and military equipment consisting of more than 400 units, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko wrote in a Facebook post.

“Today we hand to the Ukrainian army the latest in the series lot of armament and military equipment,” Poroshenko wrote.

According to Poroshenko, the completion of the development and mass production of new modernized missiles is a priority of the State. Among those mentioned are Vilkha-M and Neptune missile systems, Bohdana 155mm self-propelled howitzer, Verba 1 multiple rocket launcher and Sokil unmanned reconnaissance-strike complex.

Poroshenko also said that the withdrawal of Russia from the INF Treaty (Treaty on Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles) lifts many restrictions from Ukraine as well. Ukraine abided by the treaty even though it was never a signatory of it.

He also stressed that Ukraine had an army capable of defending itself.
