Ukrainian Exports in Fats and Oils Grows 3%
The year-to-year increase shows both increased production and demand for Ukrainian products
For the period from January to June 2019, Ukraine exported fats and oils worth almost $2.4 billion, which is 3% more than the same period last year, Deputy Director of the National Scientific Center “Institute of Agricultural Economics” Nikolai Pugachev stated, the Institute reported.
Ukrainian producers sold about $2.2 billion of sunflower oil, which is 2% more than last year.
India remains to be the main consumer of Ukrainian sunflower oil. Its share in the export structure of these products amounted to 32.1%.
The top importers of Ukrainian sunflower include China (12.9%), the Netherlands (9.4%), Iraq (8.2%), Spain (6.3%) and Italy (5.6%).
