Ukrainian U-19 Football Team Enters Final Round in Euro Cup

In the last match of the qualifying round of the European Championship, Ukraine's U-19 football team defeated the Swedish national team



Ukrainian football players defeated Sweden 2-1 in the qualifying round of the 2020 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.

Goals were scored by Danylo Sikan (6, 43) and Jack Lahne (71) at Sweden’s Jernvallen Stadium Sandviken on Tuesday (Nov. 19), the Ukrainian Football Association stated.

In another Group 9 match, Slovenia defeated Estonia 7-0.

In the previous matches, Ukraine beat Estonia 4-0 and played out a 1-1 draw with Slovenia.

Ukraine and Slovenia made it through to the elite round of the U19 Euro 2020 qualifying.

In the elite round, played in the spring, the qualifiers and the two teams given byes compete in seven mini-tournament groups of four, with the winners joining the hosts in the finals. The finals will be in Northern Ireland in July.
