The first production model of electronic warfare station “R-330KV1M” was tested in the Kharkiv region.
“According to the test results, the serial machine confirmed all the electronic warfare station specified characteristics, having fulfilled the task of suppressing the radio communication system of the conditional enemy,” a press-release from Ukroboronprom, the national defense contractor wrote, LB.UA reported.
R-330KV1M is an automated radio interference station of short-wave radio communication, which is capable of suppressing enemy radio communication at a distance of tens of kilometres.
It can block the functioning of all modern shortwave radio stations, including those that are designed specifically to work in conditions of active radio interference.
It complies with NATO requirements.
“In fact, the Ukrainian army received a powerful tool that would completely cut off the communication of the enemy’s advanced units. That is, the enemy will no longer be able to call for help, bring artillery, coordinate their actions with other units, etc.” the statement said.
