Ukrainian Paralympians Take Top Spot in Swimming

The Ukrainian team won 40 medals at the World Para Swimming Championship in London



Ukrainian Paralympic swimmers took the top spot in the world.

The Ukrainian team won 40 medals, more than any other team, the National Paralympic Committee announced.

“We are the first in the World Swimming Championship standings among 60 participating countries with a total of 40 medals, 14 of which are gold, 16 silver, and 10 bronze,” the Committee said.

Just on the fifth day of the World Para Swimming Championship in London, Ukrainian athletes won three gold, three silver, and two bronze medals.

Gold awards went to Krypak Maxim, Mereshko Elizabeth, Denysenko Yaroslav. Silver to Savtsovoy Victoria, Veraksa Maxim, and Poddubnoi Marina. Bronze medals went to Trusov Andrew and Garashchenko Cyril.
