Ukrainian Peacekeepers Deploy in DR Congo
The Ukrainian force consists of 250 soldiers
The Ukrainian contingent of the United Nations Stabilization Mission deployed to the Democratic Republic of the Congo on Tuesday (Dec. 3).
It is the eleventh rotation for Ukraine in the DRC, ArmyInform reported.
After a solemn ceremony, more than 100 soldiers Ukrainian peacekeepers left for Danylo Halytsky International Airport in Lviv.
All 250 soldiers – who will serve in difficult climatic, sanitary, and epidemiological conditions – have been vaccinated.
In the past, the Ukrainians helped evacuate personnel from a UN base in the DRC.
