The Ukrainian side continues to carry out preparatory work on the reconstruction of the destroyed part of the bridge at the checkpoint in the Luhansk region — the disengagement area #1 — “Stanytsia Luhanska,” the press service of the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters reported.
The Ukrainian side of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination for the ceasefire and stabilization of the contact line reports that “the Ukrainian side continues carrying out the preparatory works on the restoration of the ruined part of the bridge in the disengagement area #1,” the report says.
As noted, UkrTransMist Ltd. is laying concrete slabs in the area of the 7 and 8 left side bridge pillars to form the foundation of the temporary (bypass) bridge, has begun to install metal structures to support the temporary bridge and is reinforcing the road pavement from the right side of the bridge.
In turn, representatives of SE “Stanichno-Lugansk RaiAvtoDor” carry out repair works on the roadside cleaning and install cabled fences.
“On the Ukrainian side, near the bridge break, volunteers and representatives of the Red Cross are constantly working to provide social assistance to the population,” the report says.
