Ukrainians Largest Community of Foreigners in Lithuania

There are about 17,000 Ukrainians living in Lithuania

The Ukrainian community has become the largest among all foreigners in Lithuania.

At the beginning of this year, almost 17,000 Ukrainians were living in Lithuania. That’s almost 42 percent more than a year ago. Lithuania is also home to 12,400 Russians and 12,100 Belarusians, Hromadske reported.

In total, the number of foreigners in Lithuania for the year increased by 17.5 percent to 58,021. They make up approximately 2 percent of the country’s population. According to 2017 statistics, Lithuania has a population of 2.8 million people.
