Ukrainians in Portugal are asking people to sign a petition calling on the Portugal Parliament to resolve the issue of the spread of Russian propaganda, the head of the Ukrainian Portuguese Association, Pavlo Sadokha wrote on Facebook.
He emphasized that the main purpose of the petition is to avoid situations when Moscow conducts its propaganda against Ukrainians.
“One of the widely spread methods of hybrid war, which Moscow uses, is to spread its ideas, masquerading under different guises, exploiting the concept of multiculturalism or international programs,” Sadokha said.
“So, in Portugal, there are numerous organizations of the Russian world, which make themselves international, or more Ukrainian. For example, the World Association indicates that it represents the interests of Ukrainians and organizes events such as the Immortal Regiment, where the Portuguese media show how ‘Ukrainians’ support the annexation of Crimea and the so-called DNR/LNR. Ukrainians!”
“We can have different political views, differently see the future of Ukraine, but we all have a sacred duty to protect it from external aggression, from the murder of our compatriots, it is spiritual and physical destruction.”
