Ukrzaliznytsia Runs More Trains Over Holidays
Nearly half-a-million passengers are expected to travel by Ukrainian rail during the winter holidays
During the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, Ukraine’s national rail service, Ukrzaliznytsia, will run 35 more trains.
Ukrzaliznytsia expects a substantial increase in rail-use during the holidays.
“Year-round trains and the additional ones appointed will be enough to carry almost half-a-million passengers traveling by rail during the winter holidays,” Ukrzaliznytsia Chair Yevgeny Kravtsov said.
The company also plans to launch new international railway routes, including connecting to Berlin, Kravtsov said.
