Groysman: Decentralization Reform Progressing Quickly
In January, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine updated the decentralization plan for the next five years
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has stated that the creation of united territorial communities in Ukraine should be completed by the autumn of 2020, Ukrinform reports.
“Decentralization has already covered 70 percent, with 30 percent remaining. I believe that united communities, which will be efficient, where there will be a school, a kindergarten, a normal road, a club, an enterprise, should be created no later than local elections that are scheduled for the autumn of 2020,” Groysman said.
“In January, we updated the decentralization plan for the next five years,” he said.
According to the prime minister, examples of successful practices of local government can already be seen in many regions.
