Zelensky’s Office Proposes Reducing Government Agencies

The number of Vice-Prime Ministers may be reduced.
“It’s not just about cutting government members, reducing the number of vice prime ministers who are so-called ‘without portfolios’ and are not heads of Ministries. This is also going to reduce the central executive bodies that are not ministries and which are in the sphere of the relevant ministries,” Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ruslan Ryaboshapka said.
Work on minimizing reducing ministries and reforming the Cabinet continues, he said.
“Administrative reform must be carried out, and it should proceed not from the principles that a body creates for a person, but rather, if there are certain state functions, we must look at which central executive bodies should ensure the realization of these functions,” Ryaboshapka said.
